Home Arcade

Ever since I was a kid, I've always dreamed of owning my own arcade game. I actually blew my entire savings account as a kid playing video games like Tempest, Wizard of Wor, and Karate Champ (they should not have opened me an account next door to the arcade). I had a friend that had a bunch in his basement, but his parents never let anyone come over (well, not that they knew of anyways). I never really had the space or resources to obtain or repair one until more recently in my life. I had been watching auctions come and go, and even passed up several cheap games in the papers. I mentioned something about arcade games to one of my co-workers, and she said she could probably get me a cabinet for free. After a while, I offered to pay the person she knew to deliver it to me, and the following week I received a Defender cabinet converted into a Double Dragon game. Sometimes I wonder why I keep waiting so long to do the things I always wanted to "when I grow up". My wife stays content by disbelieving.
